Bonnie Luchtmeijer is an artist living in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. She and her husband, Bill Luchtmeijer, own the The Gallery @ Qualicum Art Supply.

Born and raised in rural Ontario, she first began working professionally as a Registered Nurse in several hospitals and northern outposts in Canada. Afterwards, she specialized in Intensive Care & Coronary Care Nursing at a major hospital in Victoria, British Columbia.

After developing an interest in painting as a hobby in the 1970′s, she gained membership to the Orillia Ontario Guild of Artists. She went onto study fine arts at the University of Victoria. After moving to Qualicum Beach, she focused on watercolour and acrylic painting.

In 2002, she became a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. She received Associate Signature Status (AFCA) by the Federation in March 2008. Her work has been shown regularly over the past 10 years at the Federation Gallery in Vancouver, the Malaspina College Art Gallery in Nanaimo, the Oceanside Art Gallery in Parksville, the Sooke Fine Arts Show, the Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Qualicum Beach as well as at her own gallery. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, British Columbia and Taipei, Taiwan.
